HYE THERE peeps ! ;) its about UiTM and I

Assalamualaikum to all dear readers. My name is Sharifah Nadia binti Syed Mohd Ramli and currently i am 21 years old. I was born on june 14th 1990. Now i'm studying at UiTM Bandaraya Melaka in Bachelor of Human Resource Management course with the code BM223 1A. Before studying here, i was a diploma holder of electronic engineering in Polytechnic Shah Alam. Even though my previous study is totally different with the course i'm taking now which is human resource but i think it's kind of advantage for me having two different knowledge. Furthermore, i gain a lot of experience.

Here, the environment studying in UiTM Bandaraya melaka campus is a little bit different from other UiTM campus. It is because this campus only have one building for all faculties altogether with the auditorium, the cafe and also library. Some classes are at the other building which is Graha building but only 3 levels of them are own by UiTM. What am i trying to say here is the situasion and the environment studying in this campus a lot more like studying in college at the area of cosmopolitan. This campus are also located at the centre of the malacca town here at Jalan Hang Tuah. There is a redundancy for students here to go anywhere easier because the public transportation which is bus is easier to get. Other than that ,as for the trouble having by students here is the college where the students stay is a little bit far from the UiTM building where the class being held. They also have to walk through the road way to get to class. It is a bit risky and dangerous for the students. But above all is i like studying in here other than having a lot of friends here, the facilities is also not bad, it got wireless and it can help reduce the burden for student those who doesn't have a broadband because here we have to keep up with the assignment, quizzes and test at the UiTM website itself.

I met a lot of wonderful friends here at this campus. Most of them are younger than me but it does not effect our relation at all. We do come from different background but instead we are close to each other. Lecturers here in this campus also are friendly and always ready and prepare to give the best lecture for us at each class. I'm glad to have the chance to continue my study here in UiTM Bandaraya Melaka.

INTEREST of mine ♥

Everybody has their own interest towards something. It does not count even old man, teenagers or even children have their own interest which suits their needs. I have my own interest towards something and one of them is hand phone. It does sound silly right because everybody has hand phone but to me hand phone is something very important to me .Hand phone is a device that we can use to get through people and nowadays even a 6 year old kid have their own hand phone.

As for me, i am kind of addicted of using blackberry. It is probably most of teenagers now are using them and even most of my friends already use them. There are several type of blackberry. There are blackberry curve, bold and torch. As for me i would like to have one of my own bold 3 but there is also have bold 1,2,3 and bold 4.In my opinion there is a lot of advantages of using blackberry. The BlackBerry is a smart phone manufactured by Research in Motion. The phone allows users to access their email and calendar, and provides Internet access and a host of applications designed to make people's lives more efficient.

One of the best features of the BlackBerry is the operating system. The BlackBerry operating system is designed to allow for the use of multiple applications at the same time without too much loss of functionality. The menu is laid out in a way that lets users quickly move from program to program without having to close their applications. The programs continue to run in the background until you recall them. This is helpful if we need to call up information quickly while looking something up on the Internet during a drive that requires the use of a GPS program. All of these programs work effortlessly together to provide a user-friendly experience.
Other advantages is the phone comes equipped which we can use to take pictures and then immediately upload them to the Internet. The phone has a decent-sized internal hard drive to store email attachments, pictures, music, and video. The BlackBerry has a media player which can play back MP3 files and videos to provide us with entertainment while we are on the go especially we as students who we always have to do everything quickly.
As for the size of the blackberry, a BlackBerry phone is portable can fit in purse easily. It's much smaller than a laptop computer, which makes it easier for us to respond to email while we are on a hurry going to class or even doing an urgent assignment or even when we are on holiday with family and friends. The function of this phone is not only we can use the BlackBerry Phone as a cell phone, but we can also send text messages from from our family and friends through it, check our email and even surf the Internet. It is already familiar with all the blackberry user to BBM ( Blackberry Messenger ) with other people who are also using blackberry. Last but not least, the BlackBerry makes it easy to communicate with a large group of people at once.

Introduction to Information System ( MGT 417 )

Introduction to Information Systems provides the basics of information systems, a requirement for everyone working in various types of organizations today. Information technology is an extremely important and increasingly complex component of business and professional organizations. Decisions related to information technology and the related information systems can be a major factor influencing an organization's survival.
Managers at all levels must make decisions about which systems are best for specific situations. The personnel within organizations today must have an understanding of the role of information systems, as well as appropriate methods for using the technology effectively. Using this text with its companion Web site, along with the ten-week access to the Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition, provides an enhanced introduction to information systems.

Databases are at the heart of modern commercial application development. Their use extends beyond this to many applications and environments where large amounts of data must be stored for efficient  update and retrieval. The purpose of this course is to provide an introduction to the design and  use of database systems, as well as an appreciation of the key issues in building such systems in heterogeneous and Web environments.
We begin by covering the relational model and the SQL language. We then study methods for database design, covering the entity relationship model. Next, we discuss XML as a data model, and present languages for querying it. We see how XML is used for sharing data among different applications in a distributed environment. Finally, we touch on some advanced topics on the implementation of database systems, such as transactions and indexing.

Is tackling talent management one of your goals this year? Employees are becoming more demanding, and topping their list is professional growth and development. These are the employees you should be striving to keep. They want new challenges, interesting work, and the opportunity to develop new skills. Even if you don't have the resources to implement a full-scale career development program, you can still provide your employees with the tools and support to manage their own careers.
Provide a Dedicated Resource
This can be as simple as adding a new page to your intranet or as elaborate as a career development office. Offer as much as your budget will allow, keeping in mind that you can expand as time goes on. Include resources, referrals and tools to aid your employees in their development. With the amount of information available on the Internet, you can easily assemble a wealth of career-related articles, assessments, and planning tools. If you haven't done so already, publish your company's internal information. Organization charts, job descriptions, salary ranges, and training schedules are great resources for employees to use in planning. Because career management may be new to your employees, include detailed instructions for using your system and a list of resources available to them in their planning. If you can't provide a career development consultant, make certain that HR and managers are able to answer any questions that may arise.

Air Force considering alternatives to key ERP

October 30, 2011 — 2:14pm ET | By David Perera
Air Force deployment of a key enterprise resource planning system has lagged behind schedule, a service official acknowledged Oct. 27 before a House Armed Services Committee panel hearing. The service's Expeditionary Combat Support System is undergoing "strategic reassessment" by a joint Defense Department office of the secretary and Air Force team, said David Tillotson, Air Force deputy chief management officer, in his prepared testimony. The OSD-Air Force team is considering ECSS alternatives such as "building on the current ERP software, leveraging other service/Defense agency solutions, and/or modifying legacy capability," Tillotson added. Military Services and the Pentagon are under a congressional mandate to achieve audit readiness by fiscal 2017, a goal that Air Force officials have said they are at moderate risk of missing. ECSS, a supply chain management ERP meant to replace 240 legacy logistics and financial systems, was originally meant to achieve full deployment of its first increment across the service in October 2013. The Air Force first obligated money for the program in August 2005--meaning that the program has missed the 5-year deadline for DoD MAIS efforts to go through a full deployment decision. According to the ECSS major automated information systems annual report transmitted to Congress earlier this year, ECSS is operational at Hanscom Air Force Base. Another Air Force ERP, the Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System, will require an additional $678 million on top of the $313.2 million already invested into it to bring it into full operational status by the fourth quarter of fiscal 2016, Tillots on also said in his testimony. ECSS is not the only service ERP to undergo major changes. The Navy's Future Pay and Personnel Solution--the service's successor to the canceled Defense Integrated Military Human Resources System--was reset from the engineering and manufacturing development phase (Milestone B) to the material solution analysis phase (pre-Milestone A) in October 2010, Navy Deputy Chief Management officer Eric Fanning said in his prepared testimony."The overarching goal is to first understand any issues affecting financial controls and the business processes leading toward audit ability. Once those issues are clear, the next steps will be to determine the appropriate remedy to enable solution," he wrote.During the hearing, Asif Khan, Government Accountability Office director of financial management and assurance, said a main challenge across all DoD ERP programs has been up front requirements definition.

Printed-Electronics RFID Tags Debut
Some businesses are starting to use these low-cost tags. While vendors and researches continue to improve the tags performance and add features.

By Mary Catherine O’Connor

June 1 2010- The promise of low-cost radio frequency identification tags made with printed electronics has been circulating for years. RFID journal first wrote about the nascent technology in 2004- at which time analysts predicted functioning RFID tags would be printed in 5 to 10 years-and then reported on significant advances in 2008.
Today, that promise is starting to come true. The Los Angeles Country Metropolitan Transportation Authority is using printed-electronics RFID tags in its disposable, limited-use transmit fare-cards. And a number of end users in other industries are testing printed tags for use in applications such as product authentication and promotions.
There’s still a gap between the performance and read range of conventional silicon-based RFID tags and those made with printed electronics, but the industry has come a long way. Innovations on the horizon could improve the performance of printed RFID tags, and there’s general agreement that they’ll be less expensive-some analysts estimate that printed RFID tags will be one-tenth or less the cost of silicon-based tags.
